What is the Deynapalooza Halloween Block Party?

A revival of a yearly event that took place in the local area (usually around labour day), the Deynapalooza Block Party is a vibrant and inclusive street party that brings our community together. Through lively entertainment, delicious food, engaging activities, and a welcoming atmosphere, we aim to foster connections, build friendships, and inspire a strong sense of belonging and community spirit.

When and where is Deynapalooza happening?

Sunday October 25th, 2026 from 2:00-6:00pm on Waterloo Steet (Deyncourt Drive to Paisley Ave.).

Will my street be closed?

The city has approved the closure of Waterloo Steet (Deyncourt Drive to Paisley Ave.) to ensure intersections are kept open on the remainder of Waterloo Street. This part of the street will be closed from 12:00-7:00pm on Sunday October 25th  to allow for set up and clean up of the event. If you live on this section of the street, you may choose to park your car outside of the party area in case you wish to leave at some point.

How can I get involved? Do you need volunteers?

Simply showing up will support your local community and give you the opportunity to benefit from socializing with others! But if you're looking to become more involved, there are numerous other ways to get involved, such as a monetary contribution, volunteering your time for the event, or a business sponsorship for the event. For more details visit: I Want to Help.
Volunteers are always welcome. Please note, we can sign for high-school volunteer hours. Community members who are first aid certified please let us know if you are willing to be a volunteer on the day.

Is there anything I should bring?

Please dress according to the weather. Costumes are welcomed!

Bring along your folding chairs if you'd like to sit to eat or enjoy the music. We recommend that you label your chairs with your address. This year, we will have a sitting area already set up with folding chairs for those who need a resting place and can't carry their own chairs.

Bring along your pre-filled reusable water bottles to help us minimize waste.

Cash to tip the band.

Who is responsible for organizing the event?

A group of us have come together representing the Deynapalooza streets. We are Kristina, Jo, Corrie, Lauren, Jackie, Eithne, Lisa, Amie, Ashley, and Jackie.

Who is funding the event?

In addition to the Love My Neighbourhood grant received from the City of Burlington, several neighbourhood businesses have been generous in sponsoring the event. Check out the sponsors page to see who our sponsors are this year. All neighbours are also welcomed to make a monetary contribution in advance of the event by e-transferring to deynapalooza@gmail.com.

Is it a green event?

Deynapalooza is attempting to keep some aspects of the event eco-friendly. We would appreciate your assistance and cooperation in making it as green as possible. Bring along your pre-filled reusable water bottles. Please use the appropriate waste bins for disposal of items while at the event.

Who do I contact should I have any further questions about the event?

Please feel free to reach out through our I Want to Help page or by emailing deynapalooza@gmail.com.

Will there be a bathroom?

Yes. There will be a portable bathroom on site for people to use.
